The flower sucked up the orange food colouring. It looked like an alien invasion because it took over the flower!
Home schooling is funny and not funny at the same time. It is serious sometimes. I am speechless.

Do the slugs come back? Maybe you have moved the same slug 106 times?! (Ha Ha) Can you tell them apart? Have any birds come to your feeder yet? I really enjoy reading about the things you learn every week.
ReplyDeleteLove the graphing! Early mathematician : ) same question as Sheila re: the slugs - maybe you could create a small habitat for them in an aquarium, and then take it further afield, to a nearby park or something.
ReplyDeleteIt might be fun to identify them too. I did a google search and if they look different, you might have some slugs who eat your plants, and some slugs who eat other slugs! You might want to leave the "Predator" slugs around :)

Wow! Those are pretty mushrooms and what a gigantic sunflower! I also wonder if you've seen any birds? I researched a little bit and found out that slugs do not like crushed egg shells, some herbs and flowers, like, onions, chives, garlic, thyme, cilantro, Italian parsley, rosemary and fennel. oh and have you tried coffee grinds? Or a coffee spray.
